Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of information on this site, some errors may occur. It is important that you do not rely solely on this information but check with VansGB about any terms you feel will affect your decision to purchase a vehicle. No liability is acceptable for loss or damage resulting from errors or omissions on this web site.

VansGB General Terms

1:Rates
Rates include Comprehensive Insurance and VAT.
Fuel policy is full to full. The vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel and you must return it with a full tank.
Please note: We consider a full tank as being filled at the pump to the point where the pump 'clicks' off. If you only fill to the 'full' line on the guage this may not be completely full and may result in an additional fuel charge.
If you fail to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel then refills are charged at pump price on the day of refill.
If situations arise where fuel supply is disrupted or limited we reserve the right to charge a surcharge in addtion to fule costs if any vehicle is not returned full. We will advise you of this on collection of vehicle.

2:Additional Items
We may choose to offer additional items and accessories with your vehicle hire, these are priced separately.

3: Insurance
All prices include Fully Comprehensive Insurance, but do not include contents, punctures, door mirror damage or damage sustained through driving through Wildlife Parks.
Insurance excess:

• 21-24 year olds: Vans £2000 reduced to £750 by taking the excess waiver
• 25 years and over: Vans £1500 reduced to £500 by taking the excess waiver
• 25 years and over: Luton Vans £1500 reduced to £500 by taking the excess waiver
• 25 years and over: Minibus £1500 reduced to £500 by taking our excess waiver

Excess waiver is available at the time of hire for £15 per day.
Excess waiver does not cover impact damage with stationary objects. Vehicles are not covered by insurance for damage above cab height

3a: Age Requirements
Van hire: minimum hire age 21
Minibus hire: minimum hire age 25
Age 21-24

• Must have held full licence for a period of two years
• Not permitted to drive Minibuses/MPVs/5.5 tonne vehicles
• 21-22 year olds must be free of conviction
• 23-24 year olds are permitted one minor conviction (3 points) in last 3 years

Age 25 and above

• Must have held full licence for a period of 12 months

3b: Accident history

• 21-22 year olds - must be free from any fault accidents
• 23-24 year olds - permitted one minor fault accident (up to 3 points) during their entire licence period.
• 25 and over - drivers are permitted up to 1 fault accident (up to 8 points) in 3 years

3c: Motoring convictions
We cannot hire to you if:

• Your licence has an endorsement commencing UT
• You have two or more periods of disqualification

Please call us if the following applies to you:

• You have any endorsements commencing AC10/AC20/BA/CD10/CD40/CD50/CD60/CD70/DD/DR/IN10/LC20/MS90
• Any convictions resulting in a disqualification

4: Occupations
Unfortunately due to insurance limitations the following occupations are unable to hire a vehicle from us:

• Entertainers & Musicians
• Professional sports persons
• Persons connected with Gambling
• Persons connected with Racing
• Off-course Bookmakers
• On-course Bookmakers
• General dealers, market traders and street traders
• Scrap Metal Merchants
• Models

5:Property
We are only responsible for loss or damage to property in the vehicle if the loss or damage is a result of our neglect or if we have broken the conditions of our agreement. You are responsible for removing your personal belongings from the vehicle at the end of the rental period, as we are not responsible for any items you leave in the vehicle. If you do leave items in the vehicle, we may agree to keep them for you to collect within a reasonable time. We may charge you reasonable costs for storing the items.

6:Restrictions

• All Vehicles are designated as non-smoking, any fines are the liability of the hirer. We reseve the right to charge additional cleaning charges which will be taken from your deposit
• You may not transport pets in our vehicles without prior written approval. If pets are transported you will be charged an additional deep clean charge as due to potential allergies the vehicle cannot be hired again until fully cleaned.

7:Driving Licence
For each hire a valid driving licence (including the counterpart, if photo licence.) Must be produced by all drivers. Please disclose any endorsements at the time of booking. Most overseas driving licences are accepted from Non British residents, but must be accompanied by a valid passport and proof of temporary residence for the period of hire.

Minibuses with 12 seats or over require the D1 entitlement on the hires and any additional drivers licence.

8:Hire Period
The vehicle hire period is for 24 hours usually on an 08:30am to 08:30 am basis.

9:Deposits
Age 21-24: A Deposit of £500* plus the cost of hire is required upon hiring of a van.
Age 25+: A Deposit of £250* plus the cost of hire is required upon hiring of a van.
Age 25+: A Deposit of £250* plus the cost of hire is required upon hiring of a minibus.

Payment of deposit can only be made by debit or credit card.
Please note: we physically take the deposit payment (it is not held in a pre-payment 'bubble') therefore you must have available funds in your account. The deposit is refunded when the vehicle is returned - depending on your bank this can take up to three working days to be credited back to your account.

*We reserve the right to increase the deposit in certain circumstances, and where required for individuals under the age of 25. If the vehicle has not been refuelled, or there is damage - these costs may be taken from your deposit, but we will notify you in advance.

10:Discounts
Discount on our vehicle hire may be available through a number of channels, you must meet the criteria specified through each channel to claim the discount. A maximum of one discount type will be allowed on any one hire transaction

11: Reviews
We encourage our van hire customers to leave honest reviews of their experience with VansGB on VansGB.com or Google. Please note, when leaving a review, you are responsible for any comments you make on any public platform. Reviews left on this site are the sole opinion of the reviewer and not necessarily VansGB. While we encourage honest reviews and discussion, we do reserve the right not to publish and to remove or edit any offensive or potentially offensive comments. We also reserve the right to not publish any reviews if we have any reasonable doubt they are not from genuine customers.

12: Images
The vehicle images used on the website are for illustration only and do not imply any specification, features or colour. The images are to give an example of the type of vehicle rather than the actual vehicle. Your hire vehicle may differ from the image shown on the website.

13: Vehicle specifications
Any vehicle specifications or vehicle dimensions listed on the website are provided for information only. Errors and omissions (E&OE) are excepted.
If a certain vehicle specification is a requirement of hire or if you require an exact dimension please contact us before hiring as vehicle specifications can vary over time and between vehicle makes and models.

14: Emissions & additional charges
While we ensure our non-electric van fleet is as low emission as possible, the implementation of cleaner air zones around the country may mean that some or all combustion engine vans are liable for a charge when driving through these areas. Please note if driving within any Low Emission Zones (LEZ/ULEZ) or Clean Air Zones (CAZ) it is the customer`s responsibility to pay any charges where applicable.
VansGB will not be responsible for any charges you may incur while driving.
