Van Hire Cancellation
Sometimes plans change and you may not need the vehicle you have reserved.
If you no longer require a booked vehicle it is important to let as know as soon as possible.
How to cancel your booking
More than 24 Hours Notice
+ Hire Cost
VansGB will refund you in full (deposit and hire payment) if you cancel the booking at least 24 hours before the collection of your hire van.
Less than 24 Hours Notice
+ Hire Cost
If you cancel your reservation less than 24 hours before the collection date only the cost of the hire will be refunded, but not the deposit.
No Shows
- Hire Cost
If you do not arrive to collect your vehicle on the specified day, and you have not confirmed the cancellation, VansGB reserve the right to charge you for the entire amount of the hire.
Payment
We ask for payment in advance.
The total cost of your hire includes
- Deposit
- Vehicle hire
- Extras: extra driver / Collision waiver
Minibus Hire Cancellation
How to cancel your booking
To cancel your booking you must notify us as soon as possible before your van hire is due to start!
More than 14 days Notice
+ Hire Cost
VansGB will refund you in full (deposit and hire payment) if you cancel the booking at least 14 days before the collection of your minibus.
Less than 14 days Notice
+ Hire Cost
If you cancel less than 14 days before the minibus collection date we will refund the cost of the hire vehicle. However you may only get a partial refund of your deposit if we are unable to re-hire the minibus.
No Shows

Payment
For minibus bookings we require the deposit to be paid at the time of booking.
The remaing balance must be paid at least 7 days prior to the hire period.

Refunds
Once a vehicle is safely returned and has been checked over we will issue your deposit refund.
Refund conditions
In order to receive your deposit refund quickly you need to follow the returns process.
Returning the vhicle
- Return the vehicle on time
- Make sure the vehicle is refuelled
- If there is any damage please declare it
Deposit Refunds
- If you return the vehicle during office hours - we can usually process the refund while you wait.
- If you return out-of-hours you will need to contact us to issue the refund as we do not store card details. Please see refund schedule below
Apple & Google Pay
- a: You have the original card to hand
- b: You provided us with the last four digits of your physical card when the deposit was paid
If we cannot do a refund over the phone you will need to pop back in so we can process the deposit manually.
Refund Conditions
In some circumstances you may only be entitled to a partial refund.
This is usually due to
- Undeclared Damage to vehicle
- Vehicle not refuelled
- Vehicle returned late
We will contact you regarding any othese issues.
Refund Schedule
This is usually within 24 hours of return (excluding weekends).
Please call us after 12pm on the first working day after return and we will process the refund. You must have the card you used to pay to hand.
Once the refund has been processed it can take up to three days to appear in your bank account (depending on your bank)
In some cases we need to contact you before a refund is issued - if we cannot reach you we will leave a message or email you.
