How to get a DVLA Share Code
When you hire a vehicle from VansGB we need to check your driving licence for any additional information and endorsements.
The paper counterpart part of your licence was abolished in 2015, the information is now kept online and can only be accessed with your permission.
Every time you hire a vehicle from us, we will need you to provide us with the 'share code' from the DVLA so that we can check and confirm your licence details.
How to share your licence
- Go to: www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
- Once on the website, press the [START] button
- Enter your licence code, National insurance number and postcode
- Press [OK]
- Go to the third page tab
- Press the [GENERATE A CODE] button.
- Make a note of your unique code and bring it with you when you collect your van so we can do a license check.
